I need to order a Digital Enclosure Control-DEC3.2 for my Cyclone 8210 projector enclosure. Can I order this here or can you point me in the right direction to order one?

Hi, How much power the Cyclone with the thermal insulation kit will draw? And is it working on 120V or 220V?
        Posted by SL , Canada               July 20 ,2016 @5:05pm

Cyclones generally run on 208V on North America and 230V internationally. Max power draw will be 1150W when heaters are on, but heaters will not run when the projector lamp is running, so it is fair to say that the Cyclone draws 150W plus the greater of projector power and 1000W.

Hi I've been doing the maintenance on some tempest domes housing clay paky sharpys, I believe the unit to be tornados. I'm having and issue of one of the domes alarm going off with a continuous solid non-intermittent beep. I was not able to find a description in the manual of what this signifies. Can you tell me if this is a warning for a specific problem or if the unit is not functioning properly and needs to be replaced. Thanks

Do any one have used typhoon projector enclosure for Panasonic PT-DZ21K
Posted by Jayesh, India               April 21 ,2015 @8:08am

        Hello Jayesh,
Thank you for this - being a brand new product, Typhoon 8810 for the Panasonic 20K has been factory tested but has not shipped yet, though we have many successful installations with this projector in Cyclone 8100 enclosures, so we know it well. The first Typhoon installation has just been completed in a major theme park using the Christie Boxer 30K projector, so we are confident there winn be no issues. For India we would always recommend the thermal insulation option to moderate daytime temperatures inside the enclosure.

We own multiple storm enclosures by Tempest but no replacement parts. Where or how can i find the part # and order this piece of glass. Thanks

Hi David - this would be very unusual. Is this the Oasis installation where the enclosures are located in the water slide flumes? If so that could be the reason. In this extreme case you might be wise to schedule heater replacement say every 12 months.

hi there with my 6555 units we have noticed that the heater is rusting after being replaced 7 months prior to that? can you give me some feedback on this if its normal or not?

Thanks for the response, is there any firmware updates for these models? I have 6 of them on a site bought over two years ago.

can you tell me what the IP rating is of the blizzard stretch part no 6555?
Posted by david, United Arab Emirates               November 06 ,2014 @7:07am

        Hi David,
Please take a look at this paper, which explains the relationship between the IP system and the NEMA3R system to which Tempest outdoor enclosures are tested and approved. http://www.tempest.org/admin/media/files/faq_downloads/IP%20and%20NEMA%20Enclosure%20Ratings%20Explained.pdf
Thank you for your interest in our products - please let us know how we can further help you.
